I recently installed XFree86 4.3.0.1 onto Debian GNU/HURD .03 / GNUmach-1.2 and am having troubles with xroot and fluxbox running. X loads up, and I get the xroot (checkerbox bg) with an uber weird `cat /dev/urandom`-type square in the middle of the screen. I've got "exec fluxbox" in my .Xinitrc file, but still nothing happens. Since I'm writing this, I might as well mention that I can't get the screen (bindkeys) solution to work for virtual consoles, nor can I find the new-console deb for Hurd.
