Hi,

several people at LSM reported that packages like openssh fail to
install due to adduser looking for /etc/shadow. Indeed, adduser now
requires /etc/shadow, and it seems using crosshurd (dunno about K*) does
not yield /etc/shadow, which is generated from passwd's debconf
configuration.

You can either run dpkg-reconfigure passwd and select Shadow Passwords,
or run 'shadowconfig on' directly; both should remedy the issue and make
packages like openssh (and hurd!) install again.

Please follow-up if you still have issues with this.
