I think the ground is shifting under me with new uploads.
X11 can no longer find the keyboard. I have been setting up the console
with
console -d vga -d pc_kbd --repeat=kbd -d pc_mouse repeat=mouse /dev/vcs
This still sets up the console OK.
From xorg.config

Driver "kbd"
Option "CoreKeyboard"

Anyone got any ideas?
