I had tried emacs-snapshot (1:20070122-1) before trying CVS. However, it also segfaults if it starts without -nw option. The bt is as follows: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x010a78ee in XtInitializeWidgetClass () from /lib/libXt.so.6 (gdb)bt #0 0x010a78ee in XtInitializeWidgetClass () from /lib/libXt.so.6 #1 0x010a88df in _XtCreateWidget () from /lib/libXt.so.6 #2 0x010a8c77 in XtCreateWidget () from /lib/libXt.so.6 #3 0x080d65b3 in ?? () #4 0x08525118 in ?? () #5 0x082d3aa0 in re_max_failure () #6 0x085796b0 in ?? () #7 0x0101a31c in ?? () #8 0x00000008 in ?? () #9 0x00000000 in ?? () It segmentation faults on gdb this time. The bt did not change though libxt6-dbg was installed to make sure. Should I install emacs from CVS repository? Hiroyuki -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
