A nasty problem; apt and aptitude cannot access a DVD. They can access a CD.
The DVD can be mounted, read and copied. Scrips can be run from the disc. If the DVD to a HDD partition (it took hours to copy) then apt and aptitude have no problem. IIRC, this was not a problem with K10. Given that <apt-cdrom add> does not work and the size of Debian GNU/Hurd, then access to a DVD becomes important. Any ideas?
