I got the choice between: 1.) Installing on the mbr (this chose my boot/cdrom drive (/dev/hd2), no choice allowed)
2.) not install on the mbr Which allowed me to install on another manually entered drive (/dev/sd0 in my case) Yes, it works, if you know what to do. But certainly not intuitive or newbie friendly.
