I have the tg3 driver working, taken from linux-libre 2.6.29.6. It seems to be pretty stable. I couldn't get a ton of testing done since my ethernet cable died, but I got maybe an hour's worth. Upload/download speed was okay, connectivity seemed good. The tarball(just unpack into your debian-dde branch and make) is at http://tekk.com.ar/files/dde_tg3_libre.tar.gz (linked because the filter doesn't like tarballs, as I said before.)
