Hi all, Yes, I think so, even WDM can't work with Hurd QEMU imging now, root startx will failed. Someone try to dig why?Windowsmake slow means we need improve graphics driver , improve driverkit, or special DRM infrastructure?
I advice some manpower focus on user application like browser， and drive the kernel and driver develop. improve hurd init system, drop passive translate? No perfect kernel exist， improve the application useable can help us verify our design and implement from another view, right boys?:) why we work for Hurd, to finish all of it and then develop app next decade? Hello, On IRC pere remarked that the qemu image doesn't include a DM, and thus it boots in text mode, and was surprised by it. The only reason why it's not installed I'm aware of that I personnally usually never use a DM, and is thus used to startx after login.
