X Problem on a fresh install

Hello everybody!
I'm a Gentoo user and for the first time I tried to install Debian GNU/Hurd
in an old laptop. The installation was successful and after the reboot I
installed xorg and openbox, to have a desktop. When I type "startx", I
receive Cannot open keyboard (No such file or directory).
I checked and made corrections in the files ~/.xinitrc and
/etc/X11/Xwrapper.config, but the problem remains.
Any ideas?
