Thanks for fixing cracklib! For MariaDB to build on Hurd more work is needed, and I am looking for a collaborator. As mentioned in my original email, I already did some fixes in https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/merge_requests/145 but an actual Hurd expert is needed to get real progress.
