Nice suggestion, thank you for the idea. Fortunately netdde works on this computer. And sure enough now the console sort of works. I can login and things work fine, but when I logout I would expect to get a new login prompt, but instead I see "logout" printed but then just a flickering caret. I can change tty, but the tty were I logged out has become unusable. gdb just sees a running console program. Would there be any useful breakpoints? Regards, João
