If you want USB support, then you can help us get to it! For drivers on the Hurd, we are currently using NetBSD drivers via their rumpkernel, which is a minimal NetBSD kernel running in userspace. Damien seems to be one of our experts in that area, and you can financially contribute to him if you like. His website ( https://www.zamaudio.com/ ) has a donation link. The problem as I understand it, is the rump kernel is a little tricky to build. We need to modify the rump makefiles a little to suit our needs. If you know how to mess with BSD style makefiles, then you could really help us out. You actually can run the Hurd on any laptop that supports Xen. This would let you run GNU/Linux and the Hurd in parallel. https://darnassus.sceen.net/~hurd-web/microkernel/mach/gnumach/ports/xen/ If coding is a little tough for you (it is for me), then you are always welcome to help us with documentation! > 2026年2月7日(土) 20:32 Samuel Thibault <[email protected] > mailto:[email protected] >: > > > > > Hello, > > > > Wilfred van Rooijen, le sam. 07 févr. 2026 09:20:11 +0900, a ecrit: > > > There was an official release in 2025.
