Since you were poking on netdde, do you know why the b44 driver is blacklisted,

I've not got that much knowledge of netdde really, but I'll have a look
when I get time. The Atheros hardware that I got to work with the latest
netdde only required changes to the model identification and the to
IRQ/GSI translation. It's possible other hardware might work with minor
enhancements because the IRQ stuff should be generic via ACPI. I doubt
that I'd be able to contribute a lot for specific driver issues since I
haven't access to the particular hardware.

This may be independent of the changes you have made, but I don't remember
seeing this before.
It would be helpful to be certain regarding whether or not the new
netdde is influencing this. Can you run with the old one to check?
