The same problem is with the Russian message catalogs: all of them are installed into /usr/share/locale/ru/LC_MESSAGES instead of /usr/share/locale/ru_RU.KOI8-R/LC_MESSAGES.

Well, if I have to read English version, I would issue `LANG= man command'. As for groff, here we usually use latin1. I do not know whether it's nice or not: it just works. -- Mike
