Hi, I have a problem that the title page of gnome-help-browser is displayed with ISO-8859-1 font even for Japanese, Korean, and Greek pages. Thus, pages written in these languages are not readable at all. (If we cannot fix this bug, the last method will be removing pages written in these languages.)
Before putting this into BTS, I would like to know if there are any examples who can display these pages with proper fonts. (I remember that Japanese pages were displayed with proper fonts ago). There are also Hungarian and Lithuanian pages which are written in ISO-8859-2 and ISO-8859-13, respectively. Though I cannot judge these pages are displayed properly, I imagine they are displayed with ISO-8859-1 font. I tried the followings: rm -rf ~/.gnome* ; LANG=ko_KR.eucKR gnome-help-browser rm -rf ~/.gnome* ; LANG=ja_JP.eucJP gnome-help-browser rm -rf ~/.gnome* ; LANG=el_GR gnome-help-browser with ii gnome-help 1.4.0-1 GNOME help browser ii gnome-help-dat 1.4.0-1 GNOME help browser data ii gdk-imlib1 1.9.8.1-2 Gdk-Imlib is an imaging library for use with ii libart2 1.2.13-1 The Gnome canvas widget ii libaudiofile0 0.1.9-0.1 The Audiofile Library ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.1-6 A high-quality block-sorting file compressor ii libc6 2.2.2-1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone ii libdb2 2.7.7-2.2 The Berkeley database routines (run-time fil ii libesd0 0.2.22-3 Enlightened Sound Daemon - Shared libraries ii libgdk-pixbuf2 0.10.1-1 The GdkPixBuf library. ii libglib1.2 1.2.9-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome32 1.2.13-1 The Gnome libraries ii libgnomesuppor 1.2.13-1 The Gnome libraries (Support libraries) ii libgnomeui32 1.2.13-1 The Gnome libraries (User Interface) ii libgnorba27 1.2.13-1 Gnome CORBA services ii libgtk1.2 1.2.9-2 The GIMP Toolkit set of widgets for X ii liborbit0 0.5.7-1 Libraries for ORBit - a CORBA ORB ii libxml1 1.8.11-1 GNOME XML library ii xlibs 4.0.2-11 X Window System client libraries ii zlib1g 1.1.3-13 compression library - runtime ii gnome-core 1.4.0-1 Common files for Gnome core apps ii doc-base 0.7.8 Utilities to manage online documentation ii xfonts-base 4.0.2-11 standard fonts for X --- Tomohiro KUBOTA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://surfchem0.riken.go.jp/~kubota/ "Introduction to I18N" http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/intro-i18n/
