Can this discussion be moved to -i18n instead, please? Debian-boot is already quite loaded, there is no need to add unrelated issues. If discussion on -i18n gives good results and you believe that debian-installer can be improved, then send a summary to debian-boot. But please, make sure to test the latest d-i before, it seems that people send comments without having tested how d-i currently works, which is not very productive. Denis
