>From my understanding, Rosetta is not software per se. It is a framework which is a collection of several software solutions assembled together. Most parts of it are free software but, according to Mark Shuttleworth, a few parts are "not released yet". I haven't been able to figure out which ones...and I didn't manage to get enough time to discuss this with the Ubuntu people at Debconf. So, I even don't know if these "non free" parts are key parts or not.
