As an early proposal for Debconf 7(https://debconf7.debconf.org/wiki/Main_Page), I have currently added an event named "i18n work sessions" (https://penta.debconf.org/submission/dc7/event/13).
The main idea is having formal daily meeting of the i18n task force (at least the people present at Debconf) to have technical work advance as well as discussing new ideas and topics. Please comment whether you think such idea would be interesting. --
