In the code you make a
open PKG, "bzcat $TOPDIR/archive/*/*/*/i18n/Translation-$locale.bz2|";

This open all Translation files oldstable, stable, testing and
unstable.

Well spotted! That certainly looks like it would cause the issues we're seeing.

Your solution looks reasonable.

Is the solution already applied? If yes: it doesn't work, the German
descriptions for sup and lynx-cur aren't updated yet at
packages.debian.org.

You must ask the web master team...

kleptog and myself can't apply this patch.
