Package: ruby Version: 1.6.4-2 Severity: serious With config.sub changes, ruby builds ok on ia64, but fails the package building process from a failed test. tail of build log follows:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=build-tree/ruby-1.6.4 make -C build-tree/ruby-1.6.4 test make[1]: Entering directory `/home/tausq/build/ruby-1.6.4/build-tree/ruby-1.6.4' /home/tausq/build/ruby-1.6.4/build-tree/ruby-1.6.4/sample/test.rb:951: [BUG] Segmentation fault ruby 1.6.4 (2001-06-04) [ia64-linux-gnu] test failed make[1]: *** [test] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/tausq/build/ruby-1.6.4/build-tree/ruby-1.6.4' make: *** [debian/stampdir/build] Error 2 Initial debugging suggests that there seems to be some memory corruption going on. Matthew Wilcox ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) suggested that it may be because of incorrect stack assumptions in the ruby gc code, but we are really just guessing.... randolph -- Debian Developer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.TauSq.org/
