Ah, right. Well I have tried mocking it and cursing it's existance, but surprisingly that hasn't really improved things. I've discussed this problem with a developer from mysql.org and he's told me that msyql doesn't work "very well" on itanium. I'm thinking that the issues here have more to do with the architecture than the distribution. --jason--
