Since compiling with gcc-snapshot works, it would appear to be a gcc bug. The best solution is probably to isolate the problem, figure out what's been patched in gcc to resolve the problem, and get that back-ported into Debian's gcc-3.3 packages. No, it's not easy. Bdale
