RIBsNet> NOW, the Loader OS CD does read and function, but the SCSI RIBsNet> drive is not recognised. Does the SCSI BIOS show the device? On the I2000, I usually see the qlogic bios telling me about its bus scan just before the splash screen comes up. If the BIOS doesn't come up at all, then try reseating the qlogic card -- it works best in slot 2 or 3, which are the 3.3V 66MHz 64 bit slots. If the BIOS *does* display that the scsi controller sees the disc, then you have a different problem. Try booting into EFI, and see if the correct blk? device is printed when you type `map'. I have in the past had some difficulties with te Qlogic scsi controller in the I2000 -- but you said yours used to work. -- Dr Peter Chubb http://www.gelato.unsw.edu.au peterc AT gelato.unsw.edu.au The technical we do immediately, the political takes *forever*
