I first noticed this because my machine was dropping characters. This was usually while typing a command shortly after another command had completed. Sometimes it would be several seconds before any keystroke was echoed and usually some would be missing. I ran top and found that it sometimes would take up 99% of the CPU
I am currently running a build and and I see kupdated coming in a lot at anywhere from 15% to 70% I didn't notice this when I was running 2.4.18 but now I have 2.4.25 Is this a known bug? Richard Harke
