To my great disappointment, the satellite images now available from maps.google.com didn't work at all with mozilla and mozilla-firefox on ia64. Instead, the browser just hangs when clicking on the "satellite" link.
Fortunately, the bug fix is easy and is included in the bugreport here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=303438 Hopefully, this fix will make it in the Debian package soon.
