hey, kernel-image-2.6.11-ia64 just got accepted into unstable. Note that, like kernel-image-2.6.11-i386, these kernels do not include tg3.ko. The plan is to include this module in non-free at some point, due to its inclusion of firmware that is currently considered non-free.
Until then, if you need this driver you'll either need to stick with an older kernel, build it yourself, or wait until its available as a deb.
