Hi everyone, I have a dual 800 MHz i2000 with firmware version 130 (the most recent).
I'm seeing the same problems Hurf Sheldon saw in April with the Etch(4.0r0) D-I netinst cd as referred to here: http://lists.debian.org/debian-ia64/2007/04/msg00003.html I boot off the CD, the selection for install, expert, rescue comes up, I select install, and after initrd decompresses, announces done and then the system hangs. The Sarge (3.1r6) mini.iso works great, boots kernel 2.6.8, and the installer proceeds. So, this seems to be an issue with either the newer kernel in Etch or how the initrd is setup as compared to Sarge.
