[EMAIL PROTECTED] dick]$ ping6 pontius.home.ipv6.net.au PING pontius.home.ipv6.net.au(2001:db0:1002:0:20d:61ff:fe1c:4ec0) 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 2001:db0:1002:0:20d:61ff:fe1c:4ec0: icmp_seq=1 ttl=53 time=367 ms 64 bytes from 2001:db0:1002:0:20d:61ff:fe1c:4ec0: icmp_seq=2 ttl=53 time=365 ms 64 bytes from 2001:db0:1002:0:20d:61ff:fe1c:4ec0: icmp_seq=3 ttl=53 time=369 ms ???? I've been trying to get this to work for over a week. And now, without changing *anything*, it suddenly works.... The only conclusion is that one of my ISP techies is on this list and quickly fixed something along the way :-) So now it works. When I ssh from my box to some remote box, I see that my source address is the 'highest' v6 address on my box (2001:898:2000:1b::5). Is there any why to set the source address for outbound connections? -- * *** Dick Visser TIENHUIS Networking ** * * Marco Polostraat 234-3 P: +31206843731 * * *** 1056 DP Amsterdam F: +31208641420 * * * * The Netherlands M: +31622698108 * ** * WWW: http://www.tienhuis.nl * * * Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * * IP Phone: sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] *** *** PGP-key: http://www.tienhuis.nl/gpg.txt Live webcam (WM9): http://www.terena.nl/~dick/cam2.asx
