I haven't used it in a while, but i suggest you check if the kernel you are running is the same as the livecd and then poke around in /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all/autoconf to be set to 1 before the interfaces are coming up. A side note, I noticed that some applications like network-manager don't play nice with ipv6, so perhaps you want to remove them if you have them installed.
