Hi, I was wondering id there is a way to limit the amount of child process that a program is allowed to spawn. I looked at ulimit, but seems to only allow you to limit the amount of memory a process can use. I need to limit a program so it , say only allowed to spawn 20 child's , and can't spawn anymore untill it kills some off. If this can be done via the program or if i can limit by users that would be great.
