-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Recently I've bought a Verisign certificate. I'm trying to use it on my Debian box, but apache-ssl doesn't start. Session transcription follows: __________ host:/etc/apache-ssl# /etc/init.d/apache-ssl start Starting web server: apache-sslReading key for server host.mydomain.com:443 Enter PEM pass phrase: Launching... /usr/lib/apache-ssl/gcache pid=2042 . _________
Everything seems ok, but apache-ssl is down _________ host:/etc/apache-ssl# telnet localhost 443 Trying 127.0.0.1... telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused _________ And when I look at the error log, i find this two lines at the end __________ [Wed Jul 30 10:06:37 2003] [crit] error:0906406D:PEM routines:DEF_CALLBACK:problems getting password [Wed Jul 30 10:06:37 2003] [crit] error:0906A068:PEM routines:PEM_do_header:bad password read _________ I've looked for this error and I've found a lot of people having it, and I've read it's related to reading conf file twice and writing passphrase once. But I've not found anyone solving this problem.
