We use a the following combo: Apache with mod_ssl (http://www.apache.org/) IMAP server pick any you like (we run courier www.courier-mta.org) and SquirrelMail (http://www.squirrelmail.org/) I find SquirrelMail alot faster than IMP (but it lacks some of the features you can find in IMP).
If you run Courier there is a webmail included in the Courier-MTA suite.
