Also there's the issue of what happens if a file is being updated while the backup is in progress. With Maildir the worst that can happen is to have a message truncated, with mbox you can have the entire user's mail spool be mangled. -- I do not get viruses because I do not use MS software. If you use Outlook then please do not put my email address in your address-book so that WHEN you get a virus it won't use my address in the >From field.
