How does a full /var stop people logging in? I just did a quick test and /bin/login permits logging in for non-root accounts when /var is full. One thing no-one seems to have mentioned yet is the need for RAID. Relying on a single disk for all your data is very risky. Software RAID-1 is cheap and easy. -- http://www.coker.com.au/selinux/ My NSA Security Enhanced Linux packages http://www.coker.com.au/bonnie++/ Bonnie++ hard drive benchmark http://www.coker.com.au/postal/ Postal SMTP/POP benchmark http://www.coker.com.au/~russell/ My home page
