Help on hardware configuration

I'm a new Linux user and I'have some problems with the following hardware:

- Mouse Trackman Marble (Logitech); how to configure it ??

- EZ-Flyer 230 Mb External Drive (Syquest), on the parallel port; how to
mount it ??
