Io ho una Radeon con xfree4.2, comunque credo che la procedura sia la
simile:
ti scarichi i binari (gatos) per il tuo xfree (4.1 mi pare di capire),
le decomprimi in una dir temporanea e da l� li ricopi nelle sottodirectory
[driver-multimedia] di /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/
(i moduli che terminano con "_drv.o" sono per xfree).
Dopodich� editi il tuo /etc/X11/XF6Config-4:
Section "Device"
Identifier "RADEON"
Driver "ati"
# VideoRam 32768
Option "AGPMode" "4"
EndSection
e rilanci X.
Se poi vuoi lavorare con i sorgenti dei moduli devi avere anche quelli di
xfree (quello che ho fatto io)
