Sono nuovo e colgo l'occasione per porre alcune domande anch'io. nota: uso un ibook bianco e blu con testing/unstable 1)Ho provato la procedura descritta qui sopra, ma ethereal non mi parte, ecco l'errore che mi da: Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: localhost:0 significa che non riesco ad esportare il display? come posso rimediare? 2)Come faccio a personalizzare l'avvio di X? Dovrei aggiungere uno script (xmodmap), e so che dovrei metterlo in .ixnitrc o in .Xsession, ma quando accedo ad X via xdm a quanto pare questi file non vengono considerati di striscio. Se provo invece a fare startx, mi funziona come root ma non come utente normale. So che dev'essere un errore di protezione, che deve avere a che fare con la tastiera (vedi il log qui sotto), ma non ho idea di come rimediarci. Idem per Eterm in windoe maker, appena lo lancio riavvia X. Nessun problema invece in kde. Qualcuno ha gi� visto un comportamento simile? 4) problema minore ma fastidioso. Quando lancio emacs con l'opzione -nw (rimani nel terminale, non aprire un'altra finestra), non riesco ad usare le lettere accentate. se digito "�", � come se digitassi F10, mi apre il menu, se digito "�" va su di una riga, se digito le altre accentate non succede nulla. Che succede? Faccio notare che nessun altra applicazione si comporta cos� in nessun caso con nessun terminale. Scusate per la lunghezza della mail ma non so pi� che fare grazie e ciao Stefano K.
