qualcuno sa se esiste un altro programma oltre hplip per verificare la
carica
delle cartucce della stampante?
La cosa mi interessava ed ho fatto qualche ricerca in merito... Alla fine
non ho trovato nessun altro software o driver che indichi il livello di
inchiostro delle cartucce HP... Comunque il livello indicato dal software
non è mai quello reale. Infatti il livello indicato si basa sul numero di
pagine stampante e non sull'effettivo consumo d'inchiostro.
Per capirci meglio, se stampi molte pagine con poco testo e poche immagini,
in ogni caso il software conteggerà il consumo della cartuccia sempre allo
stesso modo... ed in realtà il livello effettivo di inchiostro è maggiore o
minore nel caso opposto. Quindi non ti sbattere troppo a cercare software
alternativi perchè non ne vale la pena.

ho risolto installando sul computer del mio amico il pacchetto gs-esp.
quindi se avete problemi fate cosi:
apt-get install cupsys cupsys-bsd cupsys-driver-gimpprint gs-esp
