[Please honor the Reply-to and post to debian-i18n list, thanx] Hi all! As you can see from the message below, a new upstream groff appeared on gnu sites. This new release include a lot of improvement and new stuff, expecially for utf8.
During the past months, after we merged jgroff into groff and the bugs were fixed, I tryed to apply this changes to the CVS tree, but the upcoming changes (including a colossal reorganizzation of the sources) made me decide to wait for this 1.16 release. Now it is there, and I manually patched it file per file :-(, with only one failure. It need extensive test, to see if the upstream changes have invalidated some double char patch. So it is uploaded into experimental. I'm sure someone can post the apt line to connect to that part of the distribution. Please TEST it! Please, asian friends, try to use it and report all and any bugs you even "imagine" you've seen. I want to submit the patch upstream, but I don't want to submit the patch if it is buggy, and I'm anyway in a hurry, as the upstream tree is again changing. Thanx, fab, your personal groff hacker. ---------------------------------- To: [email protected] Subject: Installed groff 1.16-0 (source i386) Date: Wed, 14 Jun 2000 14:53:13 -0400 Installed: groff_1.16-0_i386.deb to project/experimental/groff_1.16-0_i386.deb replacing groff_1.15-3.ja.1_i386.deb groff_1.16-0.diff.gz to project/experimental/groff_1.16-0.diff.gz replacing groff_1.15-3.ja.1.diff.gz groff_1.16.orig.tar.gz to project/experimental/groff_1.16.orig.tar.gz replacing groff_1.15.orig.tar.gz groff_1.16-0.dsc to project/experimental/groff_1.16-0.dsc replacing groff_1.15-3.ja.1.dsc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Format: 1.6 Date: Wed, 7 Jun 2000 19:09:17 +0300 Source: groff Binary: groff Architecture: source i386 Version: 1.16-0 Distribution: experimental Urgency: low Maintainer: Fabrizio Polacco <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Description: groff - GNU troff text-formatting system.
