Hi,
Ok, I won't worry about jlatex for the time being. platex produces output which advi will read but advi does not produce post-script currently. So, I was trying to use dvi2ps. For vectorized fonts (I didn't want to use bitmap), dvi2ps automatically calls vflib3 to do the rendering and there seems to be a problem there too. The upshot is that I can now creat and view japanese dvi files but cannot convert them to post-script. It's not a critical issue so I'll wait for the next texlive release and try my luck. Thanks so much for your help. 敬具 :) Jesse --- Junichi Uekawa <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > jlatex has different arrangements for dvi file, and > you will need some > tweaking to get it working with advi. jlatex tries > to fit in Kanji > codes with the 8 bit architecture of latex with > shuffling fonts > around, which you probably don't really want to know > the detail of. > dvi output from platex works okay with advi. > > No idea why you are trying to achieve with playing > with vflib3, so I > can't tell. -------------------------------------- Power up the Internet with Yahoo!
