There are currently no debs at www.blackdown.org and since now I haven't found any debs, but you are free to download the sun JDK 1.4 from: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html I took the "Linux self-extracting file" and no difficulties occured. You might also take the "Linux RPM in self-extracting file" and then try to manage the file with alien. But I never tried that and therefore I don't know whether that works fine or not! You could also try a mirror of blackdown.org. I. e. : ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/languages/java/linux/JDK-1.4.1/i386/beta/j2sdk-1.4.1-beta-linux-i586.bin that should do as well but it is still beta! bye, Stefan
