Thanks a lot, I will look at this. Shouldn't this advertised publicly, and a package made for it? Or could it be integrated to cvs-buildpackage and/or dpkg-buildpackage, as appropriate?
To achieve this I use the "deb-makepkg" script below.
It would probably benefit the community, and help to harmonize on good practices.
