That is the case. It was imported from wiki.debian.net, which was largely edited by "users", who generally tend not to care about freeness of Sun Java, and just want their Java applets to work on the browser. Debian wiki currently also includes lengthy discussion of installing Acrobat Reader (ugh) and Flash plugin. Yes, I edited Java page to include java.debian.net and pkg-java link.
