Package: java-common Version: 0.47 Severity: wishlist Hello java-common maintainers!
It is my understanding that the Debian policy for Java [1] is currently part of the java-common package, and thus licensed under the GNU GPL v2 or later, as documented in the debian/copyright file [2]. Very good, this is important, especially in light of the future plan to integrate it into the (general) Debian Policy Manual [3]. On the other hand, the copyright and licensing status of the Debian policy for Java is not very clear, when this document is viewed online from the Debian website [1]. Please include a clear "Copyright Notice" section (immediately after the "Abstract" section) in order to explicitly state the copyright and license for the document. Examples are the Debian Policy Manual itself [3] and the Debian Python Policy [4]. Thanks for your time. Bye.
