>From dealing with the ElasticSearch build dependencies, I have gotten the impression that there are quite a few out-of-date Java packages that haven't seen any attention in months or years. I suspect that the numbers would shift significantly towards Git if one only took the packages that have been worked on since the wheezy release into account.
