Hi all, Jessie is about to be released and I think it would be nice to have a word about the Java packages in the release notes.
Here are the points that could be mentioned: - OpenJDK 7 as the default Java runtime - How to get Java 8 (backports or java-package) - Addition of Tomcat 8 and removal of Tomcat 6 - New developer tools: - Integration of the Dynamic Code Evolution VM - VisualVM - Gradle (not up to date though, should it be mentioned?) - Jenkins (if we can address the security issues) So you see any other newsworthy item that could be added?
