Hi The pkg-perl team has a series of tests that can be easily set for autopkgtest [1]. One only has to declare on d/control
Testsuite: autopkgtest-pkg-perl This has been quite useful for me in the past, and helped me caught a bunch of packaging errors. Is there anything similar for pkg-java? I couldn't find anything so I'm guessing not. I think I could add such a thing if you think there is an interest. For what is worth, the three tests in autopkgtest-pkg-test are: 1. smoke - isolates the test suite from the rest of the source package, and runs it against the installed package. 2. use - "imports" the main module on the package with warnings on. 3. syntax - tries to run every perl module with warnings on. However, I'm not so familiar with java as I am with perl or C++ so any ideas on what tests to add would be nice. Carnë [1] https://pkg-perl.alioth.debian.org/autopkgtest.html
