Dear maintainer, I have just installed Debian Trixie and noticed that the version of JabRef is 3.8.2, a version released in January 2017!
At www.jabref.org the version 5.15 can be downloaded as a deb, which seems to install and work on Trixie without problems, with all the dependencies satisfied. Thank you! Matteo
