It has an immutable request API, and calls return Futures. Its defaults come from Play WS and ssl-config. sbt 2 uses it to download dependencies (https://bugs.debian.org/1035929 removed the old sbt). Only the core API and the Apache HttpClient 5 backend are packaged, built for Scala 3 against Debian's httpclient5 instead of upstream's shaded copy. It needs scala3 (https://bugs.debian.org/1125161) and ssl-config. It will be maintained in the Java team: https://salsa.debian.org/java-team/gigahorse
