All our software developers use Debian, and the ghc6 package: the sysadmin will have to support their development environment, and sometimes collaborate with them, which is why Haskell ability is important. Software developed (for instance, scripts that keep our servers running) will usually be released under the modified BSD license when it is not part of the core functionality of our commercial products, and required documentation of sysadmin work may often be turned into educational talks for the Central Ohio Linux User Group and others. US citizenship is preferred due to our Department of Defense work.
